Big benefits to singing in a choir!

If you've considered, even momentarily, after a few glasses of something, that singing in a choir might be fun but you worry how you'd sound... you already know that the thought of singing with others usually involves a party and alcohol. But what we forget is that when you sing with others, your voices become ONE much bigger voice. And the power of that alone changes your physiology and your mood.

Why? Think of how you sound singing Happy Birthday alone. Now, think of the sound when you sing it with 10, 20, 50 others. When your voice is joined with others, you all inadvertently correct your pitch to match the bigger sound. Because it’s a collective sound, it’s not about your voice alone; it becomes how you sound TOGETHER!
