Guest Performance
Are we going to audition to be a featured group for Total Vocal?
Yes! This year we plan on auditioning to be a featured guest artist for the performance. If picked, our group of MPC singers who attend Total Vocal will have the opportunity to perform as a group on the big stage! We will most likely sing our arrangement of Crabbuckit for this audition. Audition details tbd.
Event Logistics
How many rehearsals, where, when?
IN GTA
tbd, however most likely the rehearsals will take place on Sundays, March 9,16,23,30, in the afternoon somewhere in the GTA (we usually rehearse in Etobicoke).

IN NEW YORK
This year, the event is taking place on a SATURDAY, not Sunday as per usual.
Wednesday, April 9 (2025) – Arrival in NY, anytime
Thursday, April 10 – half-day rehearsal.
Friday, April 11 – half-day rehearsal.
Saturday, April 12, 2025 – Morning 'technical' rehearsal at Lincoln Centre
April 12, 2025 – Concert 2:00 – 4:00pm
5:00 – 7:00pm, Artist and VIP Patron Reception & Dinner

Are rehearsals mandatory?
All rehearsals in NY are mandatory. Our at-home rehearsals are strongly encouraged.

What is the deadline to register for Total Vocal 2025?
We don't know when a firm commitment is required at this point, though it may be as early as late August.
Music Learning
Do I need to memorize the songs?
Yes, the music needs to be memorized. But don’t sweat it! We have some great tricks and suggestions to ensure that memorizing the music will happen smoothly and stress-free.
What songs will we be performing?
We likely won't know the song choices until late 2024.
Am I singing in the entire show?
No, each act will contain a different group of singers.​

Do I need to learn the songs on my own before rehearsal?
Yes, a strong practice regiment will be important in the couple months leading up to our at-home rehearsals.
Performance Fee Information
Are my fees refundable?
For DCINY, they state deposits are non-refundable. For the MPC fee, it would be dependant on the situation.
